I remember the Golden Book, Pokey Little Puppy. I could identify with him and I even had a hard plastic replica of that puppy.

  • Linda Kage

I loved the Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein but it used to always make me sad because the tree just gave and gave and gave and the boy just took and took and took without even a thank you or anything. But now that I’m a mom, it makes so much more sense but it still makes me want to cry because it’s so spot-on about love.

I love the blogs where I find new to me authors. The only problem is that my TBR gets so long!! Not a bad problem.

I have several favorite childhood stories. And I hope this doesn’t date me to bad, but my favorite was a series called the Sweet Pickles from Weekly Reader. I think I had the entire collection. I loved them. There was always a moral or character lesson to them

  • Brunette Librarian

I remember reading Jane Eyre when I was about 12 or 13. It was so different from the things we had been reading and I was swept away. I can vividly remember sitting in my room on a bean bag chair reading and re-reading about Jane.

Thanks for the giveaway! Have a great summer :)
